The Mission Ministry supports organizations that work to improve the world around us on local, state, national and international levels.

We give our congregation opportunities to reach out to those in distress, and express the social concerns of the church as appropriate. Although the causes we support differ, their purpose is the same: to touch others’ lives, giving hope and comfort, as God calls us to witness in His name. Our help comes in the forms of donated goods, money, skills and/or labor.

In the past three years, we support numerous charitable organizations including the following:
  • Open Cupboard Food Pantry and Thrift Store (Clinton, NJ) We have donated over 600 pounds of non-perishable foods.
  • Clinton Rescue Squad
  • Friendship Center for New Beginnings (Flemington, NJ) this Christian organization helps single parents or those facing unplanned pregnancies.
  • Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) and Hunterdon Interfaith Outreach Council (HIOC): These related, Flemington-based groups consist of nearly 30 local church congregations who "host", providing meals, shelter, and help to temporarily homeless women and families. Although the Annandale Reformed Church does not provide housing, our members volunteer to assist the hosting churches by preparing dinners or staying with program participants. We also have donated to HIOC each winter in recent years to help defray the cost of heating fuel for qualifying local families.
  • Hunterdon County SPCA
  • Hunterdon County YMCA
  • Hunterdon Hospice
  • America's Grow-a-Row (Pittstown, NJ) This unique charity provides fresh produce to inner city residents and promotes an appreciation of agriculture through various hands-on and educational components. We have provided volunteers to pick/glean/deliver produce, and help with Inner City Youth Days held each summer at local farms.
  • NORWESCAP - Northwest NJ Community Action Partnership (Phillipsburg, NJ) - NORWESCAP’s mission is to improve the lives of low income individuals and families in need in Northwest New Jersey primarily by offering, referring or collaborating with others to provide programs and education which help foster self-sufficiency on the economic, health, family development and housing fronts.
  • Veteran's Haven North (Glen Gardner, NJ) - Opened in 2012 under the direction of the New Jersey Department of Military and Veteran's Affairs, this state-run facility is a transitional housing program for homeless veterans who are substance-free at the time of application. The mission statement reads "Veteran's Haven North will ensure that homeless veterans are treated and cared for in a dignified, compassionate, and professional manner so as to reach an optimal level of independence and aid them in re-acquiring the life skills and ability to live in the community while maintaining their self-sufficiency, dignity, and honor."
  • Life Choices

Other, more well-known organizations that we have supported include:
We have also assisted local families in crisis through donations of goods, labor and/or money. Current "Missions of the Month" include Feed America's Children, the Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center in Bedminster, NJ and the Wills Eye Hospital Childrens Fund in Philadelphia.
